Enrollment Process
If you have never taken Cerro Coso classes:
- If you are an international student, first fill out the Foreign Student Application linked at the International Students page of Cerro Coso's Admissions site and follow the instructions provided.
- All other students should go to the Admissions page of the Cerro Coso website. Click the link for "Step-By-Step registration process for New students".
- Fill out the Online Application Form, following all the prompts. It is a multi-page form. The last page requires that you print it out, sign it and mail or deliver the page to Admissions and Records. In a day or so, you will receive an e-mail confirmation that the online form was processed.
- Return to the Admissions page and click the "Login Now" button to register for the class. This takes you into the Kern Community College registration database.
- Enter your Social Security Number for User ID and your birthday (mmddyy) for your password. Click Login.
- Select the Student Services and Financial Aid link.
- Then select the Registration link.
- Then select the Add/Drop Classes link.
- Enter the CRN numbers of the classes you wish to add in the fields.
- Following the rest of the prompts will complete the registration process.
- You will be billed for the registration fees. Payment needs to be made within 10 days or else the college will automatically drop you from the class.
If you are a returning Cerro Coso student:
- Go to the Admissions page of the Cerro Coso website.
- Fill out the Enrollment Update Form, which is a multi-page form. In a day or so, you will receive an e-mail confirmation that the Enrollment Update From was processed.
- Return to the Admissions page and click the "Login Now" button to register for the class. This takes you into the Kern Community College registration database.
- Enter your Social Security Number for User ID and your birthday (mmddyy) for your password (unless you've changed it to something else.) Click Login.
- Select the Student Services and Financial Aid link.
- Then select the Registration link.
- Then select the Add/Drop Classes link.
- Enter the CRN numbers of the classes you wish to add in the fields.
- Following the rest of the prompts will complete the registration process.
- You will be billed for the registration fees. Payment needs to be made within 10 days or else the college will automatically drop you from the class.
