Course Information
Students will acquire advanced skills in digital imaging and
computer illustration. They will study a variety of illustration
styles and design periods and begin to develop a personal style
of their own. Advanced software techniques will be studied, as
well as the preparation of media for offset printing and the Web.
Course Objectives
Upon successful complete of this course, the student will be
able to:
- Weigh the benefits of raster and vector software and
select the most appropriate software for a project.
- Identify important graphic design periods, styles,
and trends and apply a specific style to a design problem.
- Implement advanced software techniques for designs
and illustrations.
- Begin to develop a personal style for solving design
problems.
- Prepare images for web or offset printing output.
