MA C105, Accessibility and Usability
Course Description. This course provides students with an understanding of web site accessibility issues for disabled users and gives students the current technological solutions for accommodating such users. This course also examines web usability issues that affect all users and provides students with the skills to analyze content for usability and articulate in writing how best to plan for the design of such content.
Course Objectives:
- Articulate how readers access and comprehend information chronologically on a page.
- Demonstrate methods for managing how the user accesses information.
- Analyze existing sites for usability and make recommendations for improvement.
- Understand the limitations that disabled users are faced with accessing online content.
- Identify the technological solutions for making web sites accessible for disabled individuals.
