If you would like courses that were taken at other institutions to be considered for credit toward our degree or certificates, you are invited to do the following:
- Request that your previous institution(s) send official transcripts to this address:
Admissions and Records
Cerro Coso Community College
3000 College Heights Bl
Ridgecrest, CA 93555 - After Cerro Coso receives your transcripts, make an appointment with a counselor to review your courses. Your counselor will contact Suzie Ama, if needed, to confirm that the previous courses are good matches for courses in our program. We are much more likely to accept transfer credits for electives and generally prefer that students complete required courses at Cerro Coso, due to specific learning outcomes we emphasize that may not be emphasized at other schools.
- You need not wait to enroll in courses while your transcripts are being reviewed and credits transferred. This can occur concurrently or subsequently to your enrollment in Cerro Coso courses.
